Ingredients: walk, fire, sausage

Our last day in the house. After the exertions of yesterday we decide to have a Swiss day of walking a couple of kilometres up the river to light a fire and cook some sausages. So we did. The kids (big and small) played in the water or sat under a tree alternately reading and dozing. Went back to the house and packed up some of our bits and bobs and then went for dinner in the local pizzeria. Although it was meant to be pizza, I couldn’t bring myself to order a pizza in Switzerland. I can get pizza anywhere in the world. So I had some schweine thing that I can’t remember. Essentially a pork chop with some garlicky, herby butter and a huge salad. Very tasty and beautifully cooked.
