Much pottering. Apart from young Ewan who had opted to get his Scouts’ chef’s badge (sponsored by Sodexo) by making our dinner so he and Mandy (in a strictly supervisory capacity) rustled up some focaccia with sun-dried tomato, pasta bolognese, with apple and rhubarb cake for afters. Most excellent. Really.

He has his own little kitchen knives: this, peeler and finger guard. No blood.

Me, I just went for a short bike ride to keep the every day thing going.
