Whatever that means

Spiked

Blip 2014 - 12 12

Since the Friday evening run is mainly off-road and since the off-road paths are the last thing to get gritted (if they get gritted at all) I spent the afternoon fitting spiked tyres onto the tractor so that I could still go for a wee cycle before heading for the pub. In the end, there were no other takers so I was on my todd and seeing as it had actually been not freezing today, there wasn’t much ice to be found. Had to ride six miles to the old railway between Dunfermline and Alloa (now part of the national cycle network so guaranteed to be covered in hard-packed ice). But great fun listening to the spikes biting into the ice and not feeling any slippage at all.
